IN CASE OF ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE

If an accident occurs or the rental car breaks down, we are here to help. It’s important that you contact us so we can assist you in the best way depending on what has happened.

ACTIONS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT

  • Is anyone injured? Start by calling 112 so that help can arrive as quickly as possible. For minor accidents where police assistance is needed, call 114 14.
  • Make sure any injured persons are kept warm, but avoid moving them unless absolutely necessary, as it may worsen their injuries. Remember LABC – Life-threatening situation, Airway, Bleeding, Shock or circulatory failure.
  • Place warning triangles. Position them at a suitable distance behind the car, at least 100 meters, or farther if needed to warn other drivers.
  • Document the accident, preferably using your mobile phone. Take photos of the vehicles’ positions, license plates, and the accident scene. If possible, move any vehicles obstructing traffic.
  • Collect contact information and make sure you know who all involved parties are: names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, insurance companies, and license plate numbers. Also gather contact information for any witnesses. They can assist the police and insurance companies in understanding what happened.
